5 things to eat in London to celebrate Valentines Day

Valentines Day is just around the corner…

With London one of the capitals of love it’s the perfect opportunity to indulge with a bit of romance!

From posh dinging to dirty take away specials we’re sure there’s something that will take yours, or your lucky valentines, fancy.

Fried chicken restaurant Butchies has introduced a Valentine’s Day sharing menu.

Available for one day only, and priced at £15 per person, the menu kicks off with deep-fried oysters with spicy rémoulade, followed by You Sexy Thing, a fried chicken sandwich with two fried buttermilk chicken fillets coated in powdered chilli and cacao shake, topped with house pickles and Butchies hot sauce, sandwiched between a double-sized, heart-shaped butter-toasted brioche bun.

Doughnut Time

Doughnut Time is launching a 4 pack Valentine’s day doughnuts, to treat yourself and your loved one.

And yes, two of them are vegan! Expect chocolate glaze with pink, red and white heart sprinkles, pink sugar pearls, Hershey’s kisses and a custom love note! Plus the Ferrero Alone, a cream glaze with a Nutella drizzle, red heart sprinkles, white sprinkles, edible glitter and a Ferrero Rocher!

The vegan specials also sound pretty appetising… The ‘Put A Ring On It’ has a chocolate glaze with vegan brownie pieces, dried rose petals, freeze dried raspberries and raspberry powder topped with gold leaf!

Greggs is offering couples a romantic candlelit experience on Valentine’s Day in stores across the UK. Tables can be booked in advance and will be decorated with fresh flowers and linen tablecloths.

A four-course meal is all part of the special with the main a choice of signature Greggs puff pastry parcel, freshly baked to order and accompanied by oven roasted spiced potato slices, garnished with fresh apollo and spinach leaves

There’s also a brochette of doughnuts, dark chocolate brownie, raspberry and almond bite and caramel shortbread all served alongside Italian prosecco coming in at £15 for two. Bargain!

Granary Square Brasserie

Granary Square Brasserie has teamed up with Veuve Clicquot and Bumble BFF to celebrate all relationships this Valentine’s Day with their ‘Soul Mates’ dinner series.

On the 14th and 15th February, the restaurant will host a cliché-free event whereby groups of friends can enjoy a free glass of rosé Veuve as well as an evening of photo-booth fun, piñatas filled with exciting prizes and an opening set from world famous DJ Jez Pereira.
