A FREE New York inspired bagel bar is opening in Shoreditch this Bank Holiday

For two days only Shoreditch is getting a little touch of New York!

On the 26th and 27th May, The Big Breakfast Breakout by The New York Bakery Company, will be serving Londoner’s an authentic taste of the Big Apple with free stuffed bagels.

Popping up at 133 Bethnal Green Road from 8am until 2pm the eatery will be serving six takes on classic NYC bagel breakfasts. Items include classic lox and shmear (smoked salmon and cream cheese), hipster-staple crispy American bacon and runny poached egg on bed of creamy smashed avocado and even a piled pastrami, gherkin and mustard stack.

Each guest will be given a free ticket that entitles them to one of the choices on the menu, with even the option to ‘build-your-own’, with over 30 fillings and six bagels on offer.

There will also be a chance to bring the taste of New York home for one lucky diner, with a year’s supply of The New York Company bagels up for grabs, by sharing the experience with the hashtag #TasteBagelsTasteNewYork.

Tickets are sold out, but walk-ins are welcome over the course of the weekend on a first-come-first-served basis and subject to availability.

Entry is FREE, donations are welcome on the day, with all proceeds donated to The Trussell Trust. 133 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 7DG
