Artesian at The Langham has introduced new ‘Perception’ cocktail menu
The team at Artesian, The Langham have launched a new cocktail menu based on the theme of ‘Perception’.
The hotel is known for housing some of the biggest names in the world, including Lady Gaga! So if it’s good enough for her it might be worth a visit. The new menu is the product of a year’s worth of hard work, research and collaboration on the part of Artesian’s new team and it looks pretty exciting.
Artesian has launched 20 new drinks and guests can expect the unexpected with an artfully inventive menu.
Head Bartender Gabor Fodor comments, “We’re so excited to introduce this new menu which represents a year of hard work and collaboration. The team has really enjoyed exploring the idea of ‘perception’ and they all have their own favourite serve, which we feel gives the menu a real strength.”
We’ve been teased with some details on the new tipples including the earthy yet refreshing Mind Your Step which is a rich and fruity mix of Ron Zacapa 23 Rum, Heron aged Pisco, tropical sour sop & orange blossom served in a broken glass, something you would not expect to find amidst the casual opulence of The Langham, garnished with edible shards.
The menu also features several nods to classic cocktails with unique twists on well-loved drinks, including Creative Maths, a light and aromatic Bulleit Rye Collins served with a Prairie Organic Martinez in two separate miniature copper stills.
You can enjoy each expertly crafted libation separately, or add another dimension by drinking both at the same time to experience a whole new class of cocktail.
On the new menu is Now You Don’t, showcasing the complexity of Santa Teresa 1796 Rum, both on its own and served negroni-style, with Mistelle, Amari, Port and a touch of Pythagorean magic.
The new menu is informed by the team’s knowledge of their ingredients, with many inspired by particular spirits or categories.
La Penca de la Vida celebrates the agave plant in all its forms, combining Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Montelobos Mezcal and a blend of Raicilla with homemade aloe soda and cactus essence, drunk straight from the heart of the agave.
Artesian continues to host a varied and interesting selection of whiskeys alongside a carefully selected Champagne list in addition to the new cocktail menu.
The David Collins interiors are striking yet elegant, combining hints of Orientalism with the romance of Victorian nostalgia, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
More of an occasion The Artesian is perfect for a evening of high quality conversation and a chance to dress up.
