A baked beans bar is coming to London to celebrate 50 years of ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’
Selfridges are going to let you indulge in a uni-student favourite with some class!
To celebrate 50 years since the iconic advertising slogan ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’ a Heinz Beanz café will be setting up shop in Selfridges Foodhall for four weeks.
The bar will run from March 27 serving a selection of beans-based dishes all spelt with a ‘z’ on the end… of course!
There will be beans with crispy bacon, beans with ham hock and beans with scrambled egg, all of which come with the option of adding extra cheese.
There’s also be limited-edition ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’ cans decorated with artwork featuring different takes on the slogan, all which reference the way beans are a part of our everyday lives.
If that wasn’t enough for bean fans, they’ll also be super limited editions of the collectable cans personally signed by Maurice Drake – the advertising copywriter who came up with the slogan back in 1967.
There will be only 50 of the cans available, with the cans being sold on Wednesday April 5 in store and via the Selfridges website, priced at £10, with sales limited to one purchase per person.
It will serve from 9am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 11.30am to 6pm on Sundays, with all the dishes priced at just £3, and cans at £2.
The Beanz Meanz Heinz pop-up will run from March 27 to April 23 at Selfridges Food Hall.
