Brave the cold for these winter warmers in London this weekend!

Brr… it’s cold out there! So warm up with some hearty food in London this weekend…

With snow on its way this weekend here’s some of the best dishes you can dig into this weekend.

From the very best of melted cheese and those cosy carbohydrates, there’s something for everyone.

Weekend plans sorted – right?

Dirty Tots – Burger & Beyond

The Dirty Tots at Burger & Beyond’s new restaurant are pure delicious comfort in a bowl! The potato tots are covered with ranch and buffalo sauce, parmesan, chives and sprinkled bacon bits (£6.50).

Burger & Beyond’s new restaurant in Shoreditch prove that the team are much more than burgers! Bringing their signature buns to a bricks and mortar site for the very first time, the team have added drinking snacks and small plates to their menu.

Mac & Cheese – The Vurger Co

Nothing says comfort like cheesy Mac n Cheese from The Vurger Co… or, better yet, their Pesto Mac n Cheese (£4.75/£5.25)! These yummy pots are served alongside the plant-based burgers for which The Vurger Co are renowned in their Shoreditch, and recently opened, Canary Wharf sites.

Sunday Lunch – Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe

Located on the banks of the Thames, Swan, Shakespeare’s Globe is a modern British all-day dining restaurant next door to the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. The kitchen team champions British produce with a particular passion for ingredients sourced from his home county of Kent.

With 3 courses for £29.50, the Swan is the perfect place for a traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings alongside expertly crafted puddings, overlooking the river Thames. Get the roast Sunday 11:30-17:30.

Halloumi fries – Hank’s

Deep fried cheese… need we say more! Halloumi fries, served with blueberry chilli jam, are part of Hank’s new menu and makeover inside their spot at Deptford Market Yard (£4.75).

Following their launch last year, Hank’s have expanded their menu to now include tacos and a selection of cocktails that sit alongside their burgers, with the addition of a new Fried Chicken Burger and craft beer bar.

The new tacos include Panko Fried Shrimp, Crispy Pork Belly, Cajun Fried Chicken, Cheeseburger and Spicy Black Bean. The cocktail menu is made up of classics like Margarita, Espresso Martini and some spins such as Peach Old Fashioned and a nod to the local area with the Earl of Deptford.

You bring the rum, I'll bring the raspberries. Perfect daiquiris all round.
