National Cocktail Day is just around the corner!
To help celebrate, we have rounded up some of the top bars serving the most sophisticated cocktails around London …
From a pick me up to a party on down, there’s something for everyone.
Whether you’re looking for a place to meet with friends or a spot to enjoy brunch, below are just a few of the best bars across the city for the occasion.
Ned’s Umami Mary at The Ned
If you’re looking to add a touch of sophistication to your Sunday, then this Grey Goose Bloody Mary is just the ticket. One of the most popular drinks with their members in the Asian-Pacific inspired restaurant Kaia, the creators are most proud of their unique spicy homemade Umami mix which hails from 1900s Japan.
The addition of Umami elevates this drink beyond your usual Sunday tipple and the resulting flavour is earthy, sweet and comforting.

“When…you went travelling” at The Artesian
Inspired by key moments in our lives, the latest cocktail menu from The Artesian shares the flavours and feelings that are associated with a selection of pivotal moments in one’s lifetime. If you’re keen to be taken back in time, why not try, “When…you went travelling”, evoking memories of the strange exotic alcoholic drinks you were given on your first trek overseas.
It combines Santa Teresa 1796 rum with a punchy mix of papaya, south-east Asian fruit noni, cardamom and the aromatic monoi oil.

The Mechanical Mixologist “Mr Fogg’s Negroni” at Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration
For a mystical and interactive experience, head down to Mr Fogg’s. Prepare to watch your cocktail magically come to life before your eyes, as the only way to receive it is by pressing a button to trigger a chain reaction on the marvellous Mechanical Mixologist machine.
The rotating mechanical masterpiece dispenses, into a rocks glass, equal measures of Star of Bombay gin, Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino vermouth and Martini Riserva Speciale Bitter, along with a Mr Fogg’s stamped ice cube, all the while moving the glass along a conveyor belt. In the end, you’re left with the perfect, machine-made Mr Fogg’s Negroni – garnished with orange peel, of course.

Pin up zombie at Laki Kane
If you like a cocktail full of bravado (and rum), then head to Laki Kane. The Pin Up Zombie cocktail is on the stronger side with a fruity kick, beautifully balancing the flavours of three light and darker rums, including BACARDI Cuatro and Santa Teresa 1796.
It’s the ultimate tiki-style showstopper and will certainly bring a kick to the end of your weekend.
