A Jacob’s Crackers restaurant is coming to London for two days only!

Yes, you know you’ve been thinking about it…

Who thought a crackers restaurant in London was needed? Uh, us! Opening on Thursday June 22 for two days only, the Jacob’s Cracker Restaurant will offer an exclusive lunch and dinner ‘tasting’ menu served entirely on Jacob’s lunchtime crackers.

Oh, and did we mention it’s free? The menus have been devised by Blur bassist Alex James who has now devoted his time to cheese. So, it makes sense.

There’s a special take on brunch with poached eggs, as well as a Jacob’s spin on beans on toast.

‘I’ve always thought that cheese and crackers go together like bread and butter – the perfect match, made in heaven,’ says Alex James. ‘But working on the tasting menu for the Jacob’s Cracker Restaurant, I’ve discovered a whole new world of delicious combinations – both sweet and savoury – and it’s been so much fun letting my imagination run wild.

‘I hope people are inspired to create their own magnificent concoctions at home once they try some of our Jacob’s recipes.”

The dinner service promises ‘British classics with a twist’ including prawn cocktail and roast beef.

Whilst the event is officially sold out there’s expected to be more tickets released soon, so keep an eye out!

The Cracker Restaurant will open on June 22 at 35 Neal Street, London WC2H 9PR. More tickets will be available from this link
