KERB have announced two new traders at their Seven Dials Market opening this September

KERB are adding to their ever popular rosta of traders this September!

Popular Jewish deli restaurant Monty’s Deli and new kids of British seafood, CLAW, will be launching all new outposts within the 19th century banana warehouse.

Purveyors of Jewish soul food, Monty’s Deli at Seven Dials Market, will be the third permanent site in London for founders Mark Ogus and Owen Barratt.

The new opening follows the recent closure of Monty’s Hoxton restaurant, offering a new space in the heart of the West End for Londoner’s to track down their famous Reuben salt beef or Pastrami sandwich, widely considered the best Reuben in London.

Starting as a market stall at KERB King’s Cross in 2012, Monty’s Deli is one of the only places in Britain producing their salt beef and pastrami in-house. From the freshly baked bagels to the homemade mustard, Monty’s recipes are closely guarded family secrets inspired by the Jewish comfort food Mark Ogus was brought up on as a child.

Opening alongside Monty’s at the upcoming Seven Dials Market is CLAW, the London seafood restaurant championing British produce and sustainability. CLAW opened in 2015 after discovering that approximately 80% of all British crab was being exported to the rest of Europe and Asia.

Working with sustainable fishermen in the UK, CLAW aim to highlight the high-quality seafood being produced in Britain, creating dishes such as their famous Crab Roll and cult classic, Crab Mac & Cheese.

CLAW will relocate to Seven Dials Market in September where they’ll be serving up shrimp with their famed seafood rolls, plus a brand new Lobster Mac & Cheese dish, alongside an extensive list of wines and beers.

Moving further into the West End and rejoining KERB after launching with them through the inKERBator scheme in 2015, CLAW will be bringing their fresh and sustainably-sourced fish and seafood dishes to a whole new audience at Seven Dials.

Opening in September 2019, KERB’s first bricks-and-mortar site offers a progressive new space for London’s independent food and drink traders.

Seven Dials Market will occupy the space between street food and full-service restaurant experience, offering a diverse selection of traders to satisfy Londoners’ taste buds.

Seven Dials is the intriguing network of seven streets that links Covent Garden to Soho and is a vibrant district in the heart of London’s West End. Situated within a former independent banana storage warehouse, the 22,000 sq ft market will reflect the building’s heritage and bring a taste of modern London to Seven Dials.

The two restaurants join a heavy-hitting line-up of traders, including Club Mexicana, Yum Bun, INK, Square Root, Rice Guys, Pick & Cheese, Tim Anderson’s Nanban and brand-new pasta restaurant from the original Franco Manca team, Strozzapreti.
