LA famed Eggslut will open its first London location on Portobello Road this summer!
Eggslut is heading from Los Angeles to London!
Making it’s British debut on Portobello Road in Notting Hill this summer, it’ll be serving trendy variations on egg sandwiches.
“Nestled in the heart of Notting Hill, Portobello Road plays host to foodie institutions and thriving independent bakeries, delis and more,” an announcement said.
The first location in the U.K. is only the second outside of the United States (the other is in Beirut).
The brand’s famous creation is named “The Slut,” which is coddled egg on top of a smooth potato puree, which is poached in a glass jar, and served with baguette slices.
Filipino-American chef Alvin Cailan founded the brand as a Los Angeles food truck in 2011. He opened Eggslut’s first, and flagship location in 2013, inside the Grand Central Market in Los Angeles. The opening — and its popularity — was driven by Cailan’s disillusionment with L.A.’s breakfast options.
In the U.K., Cailan and his team “aims to make eggs appetising all day, every day, offering a menu that balances comfort with innovation.”
“The brand prides itself on the quality and taste of its food, with everything made fresh to order, using quality ingredients.”
