Leicester Square has a new cocktail bar that is worth dodging tourists for…
The Lost Alhambra has everything for a photo on the gram.
From the people who made Tonight Josephine, Bar Elba and Blame Gloria, The Lost Alhambra is their newest venture. The new bar, has opened on the original site of a historic Leicester Square theatre, Alhambra Theatre.
Apparently, it’s where world-class ballerinas would perform in the 1800s and after they’d drink all night into the morning.
Everything is picture perfect too. There’s a black and white entryway, with a bar made up of mirrored walls, neon signs and psychedelic floors and ceilings.
The drinks are pretty… well, pretty too! There’s the Pisco Inferno, served in a disco ball and made with passionfruit, peach liqueur, vanilla and ginger ale.
Plus don’t miss the Clockwork Orange with blood orange gin, mandarin liqueur, fresh lemon juice, egg white and Peychaud bitters. Or the Flaming Zombie with Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, Bacardi Carta Negra rum, triple sec, mango, fresh lemon juice, pineapple juice and overproof rum.
They also have a lengthy alcohol free mocktail menu with items such as Matinée Elderflower Collins, Matinée Espresso Martini and alcohol-free Prosecco.
Food comes in the shape of Dip & Flip so you can expect gravy-soaked burgers, chicken wings and loaded fries.
Plus, they’re currently running a Happy Hour from Sunday – Thursday until 7pm and Friday – Saturday 4pm – 6pm where you can get 2 for 1 cocktails and glasses of prosecco.
Visit The Lost Alhambra, 28A Leicester Square, WC2H 7LE. It’s open Monday to Friday, 4pm–3am; Saturday, 2pm–3am; and Sunday, 4pm-12:30am.
