London Bridge Open Kitchen food festival is back with pop up food and drink!

London Bridge are celebrating the restaurants and bars of London Bridge!

London Bridge Open Kitchen has confirmed it will be going ahead after the horrific attack which took place just up the road.

The food festival will be tucked away under St Thomas Street’s railway arches beneath The Shard with  street food-friendly portions from local spots.

Hawksmoor will have their legendary burger made with bone marrow and topped with Ogleshield cheese or Stilton, whilst Texas Joe’s will be bringing barbecue with their slow-cooked brisket sandwiches.

There’ll be Indian snacks from The Baluchi at the Lalit, like the Bombay Potato sandwich, plus Bob’s Lobsters serving lobster rolls.

Aqua Shard will have a Cannon & Cannon Black Pudding Sausage Roll, and Hutong will be bringing prawn and gong vegetable wontons with hot and spicy sauce.

They’ll be plenty to wash it down too. New bar Nine Lives will have their cocktails made from waste products that’d otherwise be going in the bin, plus Fatty’s Caramels will be serving hard, and soft, milkshakes!

Drinks will also be kept flowing with Bermondsey Tonic Water with their gin bar, Fourpure with local beer, Hiver Beers, The Hide with mojitos and Anspach & Hobday with beers like Summer Blonde.

Prices are expected to be around £5-£7 per dish, with drinks £5-10.

Nadia Broccardo, CEO of Team London Bridge, says, “We are proud to represent this small but powerful pocket of central London. London Bridge has seen a great many changes in recent years and the London Bridge Open Kitchen event is our homage to the creativity and passion with which the local community welcome people from across the globe.”

The food pop up takes place Wednesday 28th June from 5pm, St Thomas Street, London SE1 3QX. Make sure to book your free tickets here.
