London Cheese Month returns in May… Here’s what you can expect!
London Cheese Month will see cheese events take place across the capital throughout May.
The capital will be transformed into a city of cheese this May with a month of cheese tastings, talks and events designed to shine a light on the UK’s thriving artisan cheese scene.
London Cheese Month, which is organised by the London Cheese Project festival, aims to focus the public’s attention on the vibrant world of British cheese, which has been rejuvenated in recent years by a new generation of artisan producers, cheesemongers and street food chefs.
The programme of events in May features cheesemaking classes in Tottenham, a raw milk cheese workshop in Camden and a sheep’s milk cheese tasting in Piccadilly.
Other highlights include a British cheese and charcuterie tasting with the Academy of Cheese and Masterchef winner Dhruv Baker, who is the co-founder of cured meat company Tempus Foods.
This is the second London Cheese Month to be organised by the founders of the London Cheese Project – a two-day cheese festival in the grounds of the Geffrye Museum, which returns for the fourth time on 9-10 November.
