Toast Ale launches a ‘Meal Deal’ where you can donate meals to those in need

Get drinking, and give back!

Toast Ale, the social enterprise that brews planet-saving beer with surplus fresh bread, has launched ‘Meal Deal’, an initiative to feed vulnerable people in response to the Covid-19 crisis.

In order to redirect surplus food that would otherwise be wasted to those in need, Toast Ale’s furloughed team will be volunteering their time and the business will use the proceeds from its online sales to fund feeding efforts.

Every can or bottle of beer brought on Toast’s webshop, backdated to 1st March, will fund a meal for someone in need.

For at least the next 12 weeks, Toast’s ‘Meal Deal’ campaign will commit profits from online sales to support these much needed community feeding projects.

This equates to approximately one meal for every beer purchased.

Toast has always been about fixing the food system and tackling waste. This includes donating profits to Feedback, their long-time charity partner, of over £25,000 since Toast launched in 2016, in order to cover staff and overhead costs and fund their important work. Feedback has responded to the COVID-19 crisis by immediately mobilising efforts to feed communities in need of support.
