The world’s first augmented reality cocktail menu is coming to London

Virtual reality is a trend set to stay, and London is about to have a world first!

Yes. It’s what you’ve always wanted… The world’s first augmented reality cocktail menu.

Jason Atherton’s City Social bar is offering you the chance to feel even more drunk with a cocktail menu that has a AR twist! Entering the bar, visitors are invited to download Mirage, an app that’s been created to work interactively with cocktails ordered from the City Social menu.

Once inside, all you have to do is point the app and your camera towards your drink and, your cocktail becomes a piece of art!

City Social is centered on the best things in life, with the embossed gold menu offering you 12 AR-linked cocktails.

Each drink is aligned with a famous art piece – so the Sashay turns the champagne tipple into an art nouveau look. Gin-based Dogstone Brew inspiration from Victorian artworks and is accompanied by virtual hot air balloons.

Ranging from £15 to over £35, that Snapchat style filter might cost more than a good drink!
