Zia Lucia opens 4th restaurant on Friday 7th February in Aldgate East

Independent pizzeria Zia Lucia will be opening it’s 4th site in Aldgate East.

On Friday 7th February, and after success in both Islington (2016) and Hammersmith (2018), followed by Boxpark Wembley last year, the founders Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D’Angelo are bringing their Italian flavour and flair to East London .

Over the years this neighbourhood pizzeria has become renowned for its four signature 48-hour slow-fermented pizza doughs – traditional white flour, wholemeal, gluten free and black vegetable charcoal – and are topped with classic Italian toppings, such as Nduja, spicy Spianata salami, and seasonal ingredients such as truffle honey, butternut squash cream.

Alongside the pizzas will be a selection of Italian-style starters and sharing plates as well as traditional Italian desserts.

The new restaurant, aptly located in a piazza 5 minute walk from Aldgate East station, will have all the charm of the other restaurants combined.

Featuring wrap-around windows, timber flooring and a rustic wooden pizza bar as well as tiles ranging from dark jewel blue on the bar counter to pale pink on the back wall, the space will be dominated by a huge hand-crafted pizza oven coming all the way from Naples: tiled in white and blue hoops.

With an open kitchen, customers will be able to sit at the counter and enjoy the pizza making craft whilst eating.
