A free cheese and wine festival is coming to London! Here’s all the details…

Cheese. Wine… more of the above, please!

A free cheese and wine festival is coming to East Village, Victoria Park, in London on the first two days of April and we are already SO ready.

There’s free entry too – there’s literally no reason not to get down there.

East Village will be transformed on the first weekend of April into a ‘haven for cheese lovers’, with the festival showcasing the ‘very best in artisan cheese and wine’ from over 25 independent retailers.

There will be a range of wine and cheese on offer from around the world, as well as cheese boards, condiments and chutneys to go alongside.

The spectrum of different brands and flavours will be wide too, with Italian gourmet truffle cheese from Lombardy Gourmet to high-quality treats from the traditional farm and dairy Jacob’s Ladder.

On the wine side of things, they’ll be sparkling wine and hand-crafted wine being offered. Plus expert wine producers onsite to help you make the best choice.

But don’t worry if you get tired from all that drinking and eating cheese, they’ll be proper street food vendors as well – including cheese Arancini, cheese-covered burgers and raclette.

There’ll also be state-of-the-art craft beer on tap if wine just isn’t your thing!

It’s not just eating and drinking either, there’s workshops which will take place throughout the day, where you’ll be able to find out all about the perfect cheese and wine pairing.

Chocolate lovers, you’ll be able to finish the day by trying out some chocolate treats from award nominated handcraft chocolatiers Zara’s Chocolates, or tuck into artistic treats from Chocolate sculptor Paul Wayne Gregory as well. Literally something for everyone!

The one-off event is non-ticketed, so you don’t need to book in advance.

You can find out more about the event on the East Village website here.

You bring the rum, I'll bring the raspberries. Perfect daiquiris all round.
