Find out when London’s Christmas lights are being switched on!

‘Tis (nearly) the season.

You may have noticed unlit Christmas lights popping up across London . The city is quickly preparing for the festive season and it’s nearly time for the big ‘switch-ons’.

London takes their Christmas lights very seriously. Big displays, live music, entertainment, celebrity guests and much more. Fun for all of the family.

Here’s a list of some of the best light displays for you to visit!

1. Oxford Street – 7th November

Baubles, snowflakes, lights a plenty. Oxford Street is one of the most popular Christmas light displays in London. They will be switched on on the 7th of November, partnering with the NSPCC and Sky Cinema to raise money for Childline.

2. Carnaby Street – 9th November

The festive sparkle is returning to Soho via Carnaby Street’s decorations. For now, it’s not known what theme Carnaby Street have picked this year. However, last year’s 60s theme grooved shoppers, so expect something brilliant! Also, not forgetting the amazing shopping party on illumination day where you can get 20% off purchases in surrounding stores.

3. Covent Garden – 14th November

Prepare for lots of kisses over in Covent Garden, as you’ll be stood under forty mistletoe chandeliers. Plus, their gorgeous sparkling reindeer is making a return!

4. Marylebone High Street – 15th November

From 3pm to 7pm there will be live music, entertainment, and more Christmas cheer than you can handle. Last year saw funny-lady Jennifer Saunders switch on their lights. Which celebrity will it be this year?

5. Regent Street – 16th November

Starting in 1954, Regent Street’s Christmas lights are famously eye-catching. It’s the biggest display in central London, and features VIP appearances and live entertainment! This is another star-studded switch on…

There are plenty of other light switch-ons happening around London. Keep an eye on our Twitter page for more updates!
