Sleep In and raise money for charity with ‘Sleep Out at Boxpark Croydon’
Evolve Housing + Support has cancelled its main fundraising event.
But its Sleep Out at Boxpark Croydon, which saw £75,000 raised last year, is still happening… in a new form!
Despite the cancellation, supporters are still determined to help homeless people through this crisis. On Sunday night (29/03/2020), fundraisers will be staying at home and taking to their secure gardens, living rooms and kitchen floors to now sleep ’in’.
Homeless people need support more than ever. Funds raised will go towards keeping the 700 homeless people in Evolve’s accommodation safe and supported during the pandemic.
Families, partners, children and housemates- people you already share a home with, are encouraged to raise a few pounds and post online about their Sleep ’In’ .
Evolve Chief Executive Jeremy Gray said: “Whether you donate £10, £100 or more, every donation will go towards helping someone in need during this crisis. We must continue to provide quality housing and support, now more than ever.
“We are taking all the correct precautions to ensure that we are in the best position possible to continue to provide sustainable support to the homeless people in our services.
“People who are experiencing homelessness are high-risk and vulnerable to Covid-19 and it is our duty to provide the best possible support we can throughout this period of uncertainty.”
