You have to visit The Tate Modern’s new interactive art installation
Fancy going swinging? Oh… yes you do!
Tate Modern have launched a new art installation, and it’s going to bring out your inner child.
Danish art collective SUPERFLEX have now begun their six-month residence in Turbine Hall but putting on the big swings around strangers.
One Two Three Swing! is a hands on project, hoping to get you talking to the strangers whom you normally avoid like the plague. That sounds like us Londoners.
The first hands on experience is a swinging silver ball, which hovers back and forth over a striped carpet. It’s your change to gaze at the ceiling.
And you might need to lay down, as it all gets a bit more hands on from this point…
Grab a seat on a three-person swings which fill the main hall, but you’ll have to grab some pals to make it work – or find new friends!
And it’s not just the Tate Modern where you’re going to be able to enjoy the swings from, SUPERFLEX have plans to begin installing them around London and beyond in the next few months.
Entrance to the exhibit is free, and it will run from October 3rd until April 2nd, 2018.
