Indulge at The Savoy with Coronation Turkey on Cranberry Bread at their Christmas-inspired afternoon tea

Afternoon Tea at The Savoy takes on an extra layer of magic during the festive season.

Delicate pastries and cakes that burst with Christmas flavours, the finest teas selected by expert tea sommeliers and a Christmas themed setting make it the perfect treat.

Each day of the week diners will be offered a bountiful range of sandwiches – amongst them Morecambe Bay Shrimp on Charcoal Bread, Eggs & Truffle on Spinach Bread, as well as the more traditional Coronation Turkey on Cranberry Bread.

The menu will also boast myriad of spectacular pastries and sweets, with Delices, Pies, Spheres and Caramels providing extensive choice and delight for all guests.

The Savoy’s Assistant Manager of the Thames Foyer, Thomas Wickens, has collaborated with their official tea partner, JING tea to create an exclusive ‘Savoy Christmas Blend’.

The tea is made from a rich Assamese black tea, with festive spices such as whole cloves, cinnamon and ginger and then lifted by whole passion fruit pieces to give the infusion a lighter, fruity balance. The Savoy team have been given in-depth training by the experts at JING and deftly guide the drinker through the menu suggesting pairings based on the flavour profiles of the teas.

Prices start at £78 per person Monday – Thursday and £85 per person Friday – Sunday, plus £10 for a glass of Louis Roederer NV Champagne and £15 for a glass of NV Champagne. The festive afternoon tea offering will run from Wednesday 20 November 2019 to Sunday 5th January 2020.
